Words
God called Moses to the top of the mountain;
spoke to him through a trumpet blast,
smoke and fire, thunder and light'ning,
words to remember, that would ever last!

God called Moses to the top of the mountain;
gave him commandments, ten in all,
rules for living, rules for loving,
rules to remember, God's given law.

I have brought you out of bondage,
parted water, dried the sea.
Know I am the Lord, your God.
You must worship no God but me.

God sent Moses down from the mountain
with stone tablets for all to see.
Holy laws were written upon them,
Ten commandments, by God's decree

Spoken: Have no other God's before me.
Do not make nor serve any graven image.
Do not take my name in vain.
Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
Honour your mother and father.
Do not kill.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not steal.
Never lie or cheat.
Do not envy what belongs to your neighbour.

God gave us the Ten Commandments,
rules for all who seek God's way.
Holy laws for us to follow,
guiding all we do each day.
