Little April Showers

Grade 1-3 Choir
In the Disney movie Bambi the animals enjoyed the rain.  The rain meant that winter had gone and spring had begun.  Making rain noises with hands adds extra interest, and extra difficulty.  Singing and clapping in rhythm, multi-tasking, is not easy but aids the cohesiveness of the staccato notes.

Learning points:
Staccato
Doh-me-soh
Pronouncing 'd', 'r' and 'p' when singing.
Key - C Major
Range B3 - E5
Disney version
From Walt Disney's BAMBI.  Words by Larry Morey.  Music by Frank Churchill.

Drip, drip, drop, little April shower,
beating a tune as you fall all around.
Drip, drip, drop, little April shower,
what can compare with your beautiful sound.

Drip, drip, drop, when the sky is cloudy

your pretty music can brighten the day.
Drip, drip, drop, when the sun says "Howdy"

you say "Goodbye" right away.
Drip, drip, drop, little April shower,

beating a tune everywhere that you fall.
Drip, drip, drop, little April shower,

I'm getting wet and I don't care at all.
Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop, I'll never be afraid
of a good little, bright little April serenade.
Do deers like rain?
Generally speaking, rain does not affect whitetail deer unless it's pouring.  When it's pouring all wildlife and human life activity calms down until the storm is over. Light rain or drizzle does not affect deer - they are used to being outside and still need to eat and do all the things deer do as if it were a sunny day.  Deer like the rain because it deadens the crunchy sound made by leaves, that gives away where they are moving.  But too much wind with the rain means there is too much noise for the deer and so there is a decrease in their activity.  Deer have a very good sense of hearing.

What do you hear when it rains?
What do you like to do when it's raining?
