Singin' in the Rain from the movie of the same name.
Music by Nacio Herb Brown.  Lyrics by Arthur Freed.  Arranged with new words and music by Sally K Albrecht.

Pop Partners, Arranger: Sally K Albrecht, Publisher: Alfred Publishing LLC,
Catalog #:31230, Recommended for Grades 2-7

The music has actions written in involving an umbrella.  These are very fun to do but the music also recommends that the umbrellas be shorter in length - no golf umbrellas!!  Know your group of children before embarking!  Dollar stores often have $1 umbrellas.

Learning Points:
do-do interval
Range: C4 - C5
moving in time with music - great to use umbrellas in a very simple choreography - if it is too complicated the singing will suffer.
2-part singing (listening)

Words
I'm singin' in the rain, just singin' in the rain;
What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again,
I'm laughing at clouds, so dark up above;
The sun's in my heart and I'm ready for love.

Let the stormy clouds chase, everyone from the place;
Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face.
I'll walk down the lane with a happy refrain,
and singin', just singing' in the rain.

Partnered with:
Can you see me in the rain?  I'm so happy in the rain.
What a feeling, I am reeling,
x (clap), x (clap), x (clap) I'm happy again.

Jumping puddles, laughing at the clouds.
I don't care if skies are dark above.
Here in my heart I'm ready for, ready for love.

Let the storm clouds, let them chase, everybody from the place.
Come along with the rain,  x (clap), x (clap), x (clap) there's a smile on my face.
And I"m walkin', walkin' down the lane with a very  happy refrain,
and I am singin' in the rain.
